Helpful Tips for Returning Back to School During Covid-19

IMGadgets Team.Aug 28, 2020
It's back to school time! Though it comes with a little sadness since the summer freedom is ending 😥, there's a little fun that comes with buying back to school essentials like pencils, notebooks, binders, backpacks, and...face masks?  I know, it initially sounds a little odd to the ear, but with the start of a new school year during a pandemic, a lot of changes and safety precautions need to happen so that students can learn and thrive in a safe environment. While some schools and universities are opting for remote learning or a combination of in-person and online sessions, others are pushing ahead with in-person classes.  On the bright side this does mean parents will get a little break from their kids being home 24/7, which can be a little stressful when working from home and trying to get work done yourself (cue small happy dance), but it is still reasonable to be worried about this transition for your kids back to school amidst a pandemic.  Although the CDC does provide guidelines for schools to follow to ensure their safety, it's a good practice to reinforce these standards from home as well. So what can you do?  Measure Temperature Before School It's best to make it a habit to check your child doesn't have a fever before leaving for school. According to Pediatrician Michael Rich, an o2 oxygen saturation monitor (approx. $30-$40) provides additional reassurance as it measures oxygen in the blood. As an early sign of Covid infection is a drop in oxygen saturation, this monitor would further help to indicate that possibility of an infection, even before you begin showing symptoms.  Packed Lunch > Cafeteria Food Even though some schools may offer contact-free lunches, it's always a good idea to bring food from home as the more sanitary option in reusable bags than can be easily cleaned or disposed of.  Hand-washing Practices Throughout The Day It's important to ingrain in your students'/kids heads how necessary it is for them to wash their hands at each transition in the day i.e. leaving home, arriving at school, going to lunch, changing class, etc. Basically, they should be washing their hands frequently as if their life depends on it, because it does.  Minimize Public Transport Usage  For those who live close to school, it's a good idea to consider other methods of transportation that don't involve public transit where possible. For example, walking, riding a bike, or even an electric scooter would be perfect for these commutes to get you to your destination safely and with efficiency. These methods help to minimize how often you're in close proximity to others, allowing you to keep a safe distance.  Stay Safe With Face Masks  As your kid(s) will be in close proximity to each other while at school, it's important to inform your kids on the importance of wearing masks to protect other people more than themselves. With that, buying a washable cloth face mask is essential to maintaining their safety while at school. To put a fun twist to it you can even get face masks to express your child(s) personality (i.e. a batman mask). With their favorite mask on it'll help make them a little more willing to keep/wear their own masks and not trade with other students.  Shower Immediately Once Home Since they've been exposed to other people and pollutants all day, it's recommended to have them immediately shower and change their close right when they return from school. This helps to minimize the spread of outdoor germs inside the home, plus you can never be too clean.  Easy to Sanitize Backpacks Though stylish, those polyester bags like Jansport aren't the easiest to clean, -unless you plan on throwing the bag in the washer at the end of each day (which honestly, no ones has time or money for all that). With transparent vinyl bags you can easily wipe down their bags with disinfectant for an easier and faster clean.  Returning to school during a pandemic may not feel normal for a little while, so it's important each person does their part to ensure that with whatever form school takes, it remains healthy, safe, and equitable for everyone involved. That includes staying informed with different tips that can help the returning to school process to be a little easier.

Don't Dread Going Back to School

IMGadgets Team.Aug 17, 2020
We've reached that time of summer slowly coming to an end, and going back to school thoughts start to creep back in 😭, I know, it's a sad time. Especially in today's climate, going back to school isn't the same as it used to be with methods of learning/teaching changing to uphold safety measures as a result of Covid-19. Even so, it's still going back to school time, and there's always a little bit of sadness that comes with that. But all the fun doesn't have to end when summer does, there are few back to school items you can get to help make the school year a little less dreadful, and more enjoyable.  Earbuds to Make Classes Easier  One of the few joys of going back to school is seeing your friends again and/or meeting new people (and getting an education but that's besides the point). While this can still happen, it's not to the same extent as possible before because of covid-19, as a lot of classes are now online to minimize close proximity physical interactions. Which means, practicing more discipline to watch the videos or attend the zoom classes (which is the hard part of online classes if we're being honest) and actually hearing what the teacher/professor is saying. This is where the Wave Pods Pro come in, offering incredibly clear sound as you join your classes, along with a stable connection range up to 10 meters, so you can make food and still be attentive to the class, I'd say that a win-win.  Keep Your Essentials Charged There's nothing more annoying than having something die or not work when you need it to. I've felt this frustration more times than I'd like with my phone dying or my headphones not having enough charge right when I'm about to work 🙄. A dual wireless charger minimizes all that stress by just placing your phone and/or headphones on the charging base, and carrying on with your work. The days of forgetting to charge your things have decreased (because let's be honest, we're still forgetful people), simply place, and go. Safer Ways to Get to School With the return to school, along with the safety of kids while at school being a concern, there is still an underlying concern for the safest way for kids to get to school. That being, a way that involves the least amount of physical contact to be made. Public transportation isn't the ideal option as it involves many people being in close proximity to each other. As a parent, you can just take your child to school, but there is another option with the use of electric scooters. Depending on the range of the commute and comfort level, electric scooters can save time, money, keep the rider at a safe distance from others, all while being economically friendly. Give yourself one less stress in terms of safety when returning to school.  As it is a time of readjustment in this new age of going back to school, make things a little easier with school supplies that make the return to school just a little more exciting.
Just How Safe Are Hoverboards In 2020?

Just How Safe Are Hoverboards In 2020?

IMGadgets Team.Jul 30, 2020
By now, we're all familiar with the concerns that surround hoverboards from the 2015-2016 craze of hoverboards being a fire risk. Though they became very popular as a fun new method of personal transportation for kids and adults, this risk of catching fire posed a serious problem with the safety and use/benefits of these e-mobility products. This led to a drastic decline in sales, and even the banning of these products from all major retail stores and websites.   However, that wasn't the end of hoverboards. Following the initial hazardous nature of hoverboards (from being cheaply made and unregulated), this brought the new UL certification for hoverboards. This certification ensures the safety of consumer products by undergoing multiple rigorous tests to check they are safe in all aspects to be UL2272 certified. With this new certification being instilled, it did a grave justice in putting consumers at ease with being able to trust the safety of hoverboards again, as UL2272 certified boards are NOT a fire risk. Because of these new safety measures, these e-mobility products are making a massive comeback, and now the only thing exploding is how much fun you can have while riding! Things to keep in mind While hoverboards are a lot safer to ride now, they are a few things to keep in mind to ensure hoverboard safety when riding: ONLY buy hoverboards that are UL2272 certified. There are still many hoverboards for sale that don't have this certification which should be avoided as you can't be sure if they're a fire risk  Buy from a trusted source. If the price seems significantly lower than other hoverboards, it may not be genuinely UL2272 certified. Also check the reviews for further brand reputability Always check for a UL mark on the package and for the UL holographic certification label (usually on the bottom of the board)   Don't overcharge your hoverboard. It's recommended to follow the charging times given in the manual with the board to keep the battery safe Keep your hoverboard away from flammable items when charging  Adhere to the weight requirements of the hoverboard so that it aligns with the size of the rider, this is important to successfully control the hoverboard. Avoid adding extra stress on the battery by exceeding the weight limit which compromises your safety when riding  As kids tend to go all-in when they try new things, the max speed of hoverboards can be a little worrisome. Some hoverboards are built for speed (reaching 19-20 km/h), so make sure to check the max speed of your desired hoverboard is within a range of 7-12 km/h for kids to ride safely With the adventurous nature of youngsters riding, it's important to ensure the hoverboard has treaded rubber tires to provide proper traction and grip on surfaces when riding Stay clear of smooth foot pads on hoverboards. It's crucial your hoverboard has non-slip foot pads for better balance and grip while riding Always wear proper safety gear when riding as accidents can still happen  So the big question is... are hoverboards safe in 2020? They are! But with these tips in mind, you do have to do your part to properly research your hoverboard of interest to avoid knockoffs, and make sure you're getting a safe and certified hoverboard so you can enjoy riding stress-free.
Choosing The Right Thermometer Is Easier Than You Think

Choosing The Right Thermometer Is Easier Than You Think

IMGadgets Team.Jul 17, 2020
The safety of yourself and others will always be a priority, especially in terms of health. A key tool to aid with health maintenance are thermometers. Thermometers are essential tools for your home, office, or any public setting that requires you to be around others for an extended period of time i.e. clinics. They are useful for the immediate detection of high body temperatures that could result from a fever or other illnesses. When shopping for a thermometer there are a variety of types to choose from like mercury, infrared, or regular digital thermometers. However, infrared thermometers have gained popularity with the efficiency they provide for temperature readings while limiting the risk of cross infection from person to person, swallowing mercury, and the danger of breaking glass. Choosing the right thermometer can be a little tricky as you may not know what key features you should be looking for to ensure it'll suite your needs. A short guide with different tips can be helpful in that regard to bring your attention to the important things to consider before deciding to buy one. Common Infrared Thermometer Names If you are new or still a little unfamiliar with the thermometer shopping game, you may have come across some alternate names you didn't realize referred to infrared thermometers. Some of the common names include thermal gun, temp gun, contactless thermometer, non-contact thermometer, forehead thermometer, temperature meter, and IR thermometer. If you come across these names don't be confused, as it's just another way to address infrared thermometers.  How does it work? The basis of an infrared thermometer is to measure a person's thermal radiation without the need for any physical contact to be made. How this works is through the use of infrared rays in the thermometer to measure the amount of heat emitted by the body onto a detector called a thermopile. The thermopile absorbs the infrared radiation and turns it into heat. This heat then gets turned into electricity that's sent to the detector (thermopile) to be used to determine the temperature of the object or person it's pointed at. Keep in mind each thermometer has a range of accurate readings in which it will provide precise results, so make a note to check that range prior to using.  Tips to keep in mind when shopping Accuracy The accuracy of a thermometer is the most important factor to keep in mind when thermometer shopping. While you cannot determine that from the outset, try to go for trusted options to ensure that readings are accurate. You can check this by reading the reviews of the thermometer to see what others have experienced with its accuracy, or doing some research on the brand of the thermometer itself. Usage Infrared thermometers are used to check body temperatures and/or the temperature of an object. When shopping, make sure to check which method of usage the thermometer is meant for based on your needs. This prevents the possibility of getting incorrect readings with a thermometer that's not meant for measuring the mode (i.e. human or object) you need.  Unit of Measurement Temperature readings are given in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. When using, make sure you check what the measuring unit is set to so that you can correctly read/understand the temperature given. With some thermometers, you are able to switch from one unit to another for a more accessible reading.  Convenience As they are used as a tool for health maintenance, it's important for the thermometer to be convenient for frequent use. Features of this convenience include having an ergonomic grip so that it remains stable in hand while measuring, a clear, easy to read display, and a setting that allows you to turn the beep alarm on/off when needed.  Time of Response Infrared thermometers are known to have a faster measuring and response time compared to other thermometers. This response time typically ranges between 2 to 5 seconds, which allows for more prompt readings to save you more time. When searching for a thermometer, check to see what response time it has to get an idea of just how convenient it may be. Memory Storage A helpful feature that comes with infrared thermometers is the ability to store a specific number of temperature readings that can be retrieved for future reference and comparison. This makes a difference because it allows you to monitor and track temperatures frequently to later compare to see if there were any differences/ improvements made. Check for points like "Automatically stores data of the last 32 measurements" to get an idea of how many readings can be stored at once.    With all these tips in mind, you are better prepared for your search for a thermometer that will work best for you. When it comes to the risk of transmitting germs through physical contact with another person, infrared thermometers are considered the safest option to minimize your risk of cross infection. With the different types of thermometers and health items available, there's a better chance for your health to be maintained so you can continue staying safe!
Scooting for Commuting; The Benefits of E-Scooters

Scooting for Commuting; The Benefits of E-Scooters

IMGadgets Team.Jun 29, 2020
There has been a growing appreciation for electric scooters, not only in Toronto but around the world. These e-mobility vehicles are very easy to use, offering great convenience to its riders with long ranges and fast speeds. To put simply, an electric scooter provides a way to travel that gives you the best elements of a car (getting to your desired destinations quickly and safely) and a bike (easily maneuver with no traffic) all in one while being environmentally friendly. You can get some fresh air, enjoy the sun, avoid traffic, and the wait for public transit all while riding to work, or just cruising around. With the recent launch of a 5 year pilot plan legalizing the use of electric scooters in Ontario, it's the perfect time to take advantage of these micro-mobility vehicles and experience the difference yourself. Still not sure if electric scooters are for you? Well here are some reasons that may get you to reconsider.  More Savings = More Money For Things You Love  We all know travelling in general can be costly, especially if you're travelling by car or public transport. To put some numbers to it, let's say it costs $60 to fill your car once a week, monthly that would be around $250, and in a year, that would be roughly $3000 (and I haven't even mentioned the cost of paid parking yet...let that sink in). Just imagine all the things these savings could be used for; you can put it towards travelling more, paying bills, buying a house, getting that make-up palette you've been eyeing (guilty), clothes, groceries, etc. I know you're thinking "but electric scooters are expensive", you're right. There is an upfront cost to getting a electric scooter, but that one-time payment ends up saving you way more over time from having to continuously deal with parking, gas, transit costs, or car maintenance that comes with the usual methods of transportation. For example, let's say it roughly costs $10 to commute to and from work in Toronto (i.e. TTC or Go Transit), and an electric scooter costs $500, in just 50 days you've already earned back the scooter costs and then some! That's a little less than 2 months before you to start seeing savings from your electric scooter.  Not only do electric scooter save you money, but they also save you time. Besides the occasional foot traffic, you are no longer a victim of the godforsaken bumper-to-bumper traffic that sometimes takes hourss to clear. You no longer have to deal with transit delays, or the struggle to find parking, giving you more time in your days to dedicate towards your essential tasks, or even just more time to yourself.  Another way to look at it is if you often or sometimes use Uber or Lyft. In the spirit of convenience, these companies get a lot of attention because of the easy-to-use and money-saving nature to them, resulting in 46% of the rides being under 4 km, and 32% between 3-16 km. Isn't that crazy? To put into perspective, all those rides between 1-25 km could be FREE with the use of an electric scooter and potentially faster (with no traffic). There would be no more waiting for your Uber or Lyft, or having those awkward car conversations when you don't feel like talking. Think about it, for all you short commuters, which method is really offering you convenience and savings?  Environmentally Friendly Now that we've talked about the savings that come with an electric scooter, we can't forget the environmental gain from them as well. Electric cars are on the up-rise with the energy saving and economical capabilities of them, but not all of us have electric car money (trust me, I know). An electric scooter gives you the best of both worlds; experience the economical gain and environmental benefits of electric mobility, with the efficiency of a conventional vehicle. E-scooters take a fraction of the energy compared to a 3,000-4,000 lb. car or SUV, being more than 1,000% more efficient per mile than the average combustion vehicle based on the energy needed to move them. Just imagine the difference that would make in the city with helping to prolong the life of the environment. There'd be less cars on the roads, less material being needed to produce these cars, which also means less C02 emissions. It's the friendlier option all-around with continued benefits.    Now it's up to you to decide. I've given you all the benefits that comes with an electric scooter for short commutes in terms of saving you time, money, and the environment. So just ask yourself, how much do you realllyyy need to drive a car?

Gift Ideas for Father's Day That Show You Care

IMGadgets Team.Jun 12, 2020
Father's Day is slowly and quickly approaching, which means we actually have to decide on what to get and not put it off anymore. If you're like me, shopping for your dad isn't always easy. You're never really sure what to get, and usually end up getting something standard and basic like a tie, mug, shirt, cologne, etc., since he insists on not needing anything, which doesn't help at all (you know how it goes). So this year, let's change things up a bit with gifts he wouldn't expect; 2020 is already a year to remember, let's make it one for Father's Day too.  Unleash His Inner Scooter Enthusiasts With businesses starting to reopen, that means the joy of commuting is about to pick back up *stares into camera*. Driving a car is great and all, expect when you're stuck in traffic, and living in Toronto with that morning and evening rush, ends up being like every 5 ft. It sucks even more when the commute is not that far (1-20 km), so why not get a gift that says "hey, you don't have to be stuck in traffic anymore " and also saves time and money. That all-in-one gift is an Electric Scooter! It's perfect for his short work commutes, saving him time for other things he enjoys, while cutting down the need to pay for gas or parking. While on these commutes, he can mount his phone on the scooter to easily answer calls, play music, or track his directions on Google Maps, all while riding safely with the free helmet included. Sounds nice right? Plus, if your dad wasn't an outdoorsy person before, this scooter will most likely make him one with the fun that comes with cruising on the scooter, especially in the summer. This, my friend, is what you call a...   DIY Home Security With the world today, you can never be too safe, with packages being stolen, potential break-ins, etc. If your dad is more of a hands on, do-it-yourself kind of guy, then installing his own security system is right up his alley. He can easily set it up inside or outside his home and begin reaping the benefits. All accessible from his phone or tablet, he'll be able to access 24 hours video coverage and storage, a two-way talk feature that allows him to talk to his guests without needing to go to the door, customize motion zones to sound alerts when someone enters his property, and call 911. It's basically home security at a fraction of the costs with all the benefits that he has complete control of without being tied to monthly payments. Now you may need to help him set up the app on his phone since the older generation can be a litttlee bit -let's say- technologically slow. But, now that becomes an added part of the gift; a home security system AND quality time together, that's a 2-for-1 special right there.   Fun Has No Limits There's no age limit on when having fun must end, and even if your dad isn't on the more adventurous side, having his own Go Kart will definitely bring it out of him. It's easy to install, use, widely compatible with a variety of different sized hoverboards, and has an adjustable frame length so that both adults and kids can enjoy this riding experience. It's a fun gift that he'd never expect that gets him to try new things he may not have even thought of. Build that adventurous side of your dad and see his inner daredevil come out.  If these gifts don't really match the type of guy your dad is, don't worry, we have more gift ideas to help make your gift a little different this year. To make this gift even better, until June 22,2020, you can use the code "DADLUV" for an extra $10 off towards your purchase! There's something for every dad, it just takes doing that little extra search to find what he might like, despite his claim to not want/need anything.

How You Can Easily Protect Your Home and Mail

IMGadgets Team.May 25, 2020
With the current state of society being in lock down, the usual go-to of picking up things in person has gotten pretty bleak. As a result, ordering online is the best solution to get your essential and favorite items while remaining socially distant and safe. Maybe it's just me, but because of this quarantine, I'm ordering a LOT more things (that I probably don't need to be honest) because why not? I have the time kill anyway and it's a judgement free zone. The only issue with the influx of my packages being delivered, there is an increase in the possibility of it being stolen since signatures are currently no longer required to receive them. Instead, they have instilled a "knock, drop, and go" policy, where the delivery person will knock or ring the doorbell, drop the parcel off and leave. While it is for safety reasons for the delivery personnel and ourselves, it does make it a little harder for us to trust that our packages are safe once delivered since we can't physically see the package being delivered.  However, an easy solution to this problem is The IMGadgets Floodlight Security Camera. It's a more affordable version of home security that helps you feel more safe while at home. With the camera you can set motion zones on your property which then send you notifications when someone is at your door. You are then able to communicate with them and see them via the two-way-talk and video feature through the app to instruct them on where they can safely leave your package whether you're home or not. This way, you are keeping yourself safe at a distance while ensuring your package has been placed in a safe place. You can also watch, record, and save videos to further ensure the safety of your home, sound a siren alarm if you see someone suspicious on your property, or even call 911 if you feel you or your home are in danger.  Put yourself at ease when it comes to wondering and worrying if your package will be waiting for you when you get home (which I'm guilty of). With this camera you can easily give yourself that extra reassurance in the safety of your home and delivered packages. Simply set up the camera, relax, and watch everything from your phone. Who wouldn't want that type of ease?

5 Ways To Stay Zen during the Coronavirus Pandemic

IMGadgets Team.Apr 21, 2020
We are all living through a period of uncertainty, heightened stress, and difficulty as a result of Covid-19. It can be hard to maintain a steady level of serenity and posivitity with the unpredictability of present times. However, the good news is that there ways to combat that anxiety experienced from Coronavirus through the practice of emotional resilience that can be learned and maintained! These exercises will help you understand how to build emotional resilience with techniques that can be applied to your daily life. We have a lot more time indoors, so might as well find ways to actively cope with the situation while staying sane and mentally healthy.  But first, you may be wondering what emotional resilience is? Simply put it is the ability to adapt and respond to stressful developments in your life. Being emotionally resilient means you have the capabilities to healthily deal with adversity without encountering many long-term negative effects on your mental or emotional health. Whether you are more or less emotionally resilient, integrating these new habits into your life can make a long-term difference in maintaining your mental health through adversity.  1. Build Your Support System As High School Musical said "we're alll in thiss together!", and as you're figuring out how to build resilience, it's important to remember this; you can't do this alone. This does not dismiss the inner strength and autonomy involved with emotional resilience, but a key component is also about learning that being at your best means having a strong support system behind you. Despite what you may think, there is nothing wrong with reaching out for support. It shows your strength rather than weakness as you are aware of your own limitations and understand the value of human connection. We're all going through this period of change and uncertainty together, so try to reach out and ask for support or offer it. 2. Confront Your Fears Whether you realize this or not, our fears hold a lot of power when we hide from them, which why facing them can work wonders for your emotional well-being. If you don't believe me take Will Smith's word for it then. A practical approach that can be useful involves using meditation to deal with different emotions. This can be done in two parts to build your empowerment against fear. First, try to recognize your bodily cues for fear i.e. feeling your heart pounding, your stomach drop, or starting to sweat. In response to this, get into the habit of purposefully slowing down the pace of your body by breathing in and out very slowly and deeply, focusing on each breathe until your heart slows down. After this you are going to repeat to yourself "I am afraid of ____", doing this encourages you to take a more objective perspective. Then, repeat a positive affirmation to yourself like "I am calm, safe, and free from fear" until the words resonate and translate as feelings.  3. Evaluate Your Thoughts In recognizing your strengths and weaknesses to build your resilience, it requires you to regularly work on self-reflecting. This is vital because it allows you to be mindful of your own thoughts (regarding yourself and your life), your feelings, and how you speak to yourself. Overtime, you'll begin to identify different patterns that indicate areas that need some work. More specifically, keep an eye out for a tendency to avoid responsibility for things going wrong in life, and to hide vulnerable emotions (i.e. shame) under bigger, more defensive emotions ( i.e. anger). It can be helpful to implement a daily self-reflective practice like keeping a journal to make a note of these tendencies, as you challenge yourself daily to think of something new you've learned about yourself. Doing this reinforces the idea that even your setbacks can help you improve yourself and life as you realize and change these negative habits.  4. Control Your Destiny  Once you're emotionally resilient, you're able to really see and bask in the happiness that comes with realizing that you are the sole person that has control over your life. Accepting you have full power over how you respond to stressful situations (like this pandemic) and exercising this power can play a significant role in keeping calm and regulating any anxious feelings. An effective method would be to say "I have a choice" whenever you encounter a setback or challenge. This allows you to identify and evaluate your choices, despite how limited they may be, and taking action once you've decided on a path. You'll be surprised how freeing it can be to exercise this control over your life.  5. Mindfulness Exercises  General mindfulness exercises can also double as emotional resilience exercises. Some of these exercises includes body scanning meditations that help you to identify and sit with your own emotions. To do so, spend 5-10 minutes breathing deeply and slowly as you move your attention from your head to your toe. Pay attention to what you feel, emotionally and physically, as you continue to breathe. Try not to judge, but simply observe these feelings, which allows you to accept that whatever you're feeling is okay and helps you to manage your responses to strong emotions. Another meditative exercise to try is to imagine your body filling up with warm, liquid gold that melts all of your stress away. Repeating these exercises helps you to feel more confident in yourself and in the control you have over how you respond in life.  Attaining emotional resilience is possible for everyone, and though not all of these exercises may be suitable for you, trying to implement even some of these practices into your daily life can make a long-term difference towards your emotional and mental health. I mean, we have no where to go so what's the harm in trying?    Reference: The Law Of Attraction.com

Educational Toys are the Way to Go

IMGadgets Team.Feb 27, 2020
Education is important for everyone, especially the growing minds of children. But we all know it can be a bit of task to get kids to enjoy learning and have fun while doing it. I present to you (drum roll please)....STEM Toys! The perfect combination of education and fun. Never heard of it? That's okay, we're here to help you know more. What are Stem Toys? STEM is a very hot topic when it comes to conversations about education, toy manufactures, and sales, as well as among parents, in relation to the growth of children. You may have gotten this far but are still wondering what does the term STEM mean? The acronym stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This method of educating is special because it strays from your traditional and common techniques of learning through testing children's performance. Instead, it focuses on the development of necessary skills through the combination of classroom learning and real world experiences. This learning technique encourages a higher level creative thinking skills among children with emphasis on collaboration, problem solving, research, creativity, and critical thinking. All which can be unanimously agreed to be necessary skills children need to be successful in today's world, no matter what career journey or life interests they take.  Stem Concept as a Toy With the basis of stem focusing on curiosity, education, and learning, the type of STEM toys available are made to reflect that. The variety of STEM toys include some that focus on coding, mechanics, or chemistry, like the IMGadgets TacoBot Coding Robot. What's important to remember is that these toys work extremely well to express the importance of learning to your child but in a fun and accessible way, because the more fun they feel they're having, the less aware they are that they're actually learning as well. You Decide As Dr. Suess says "the more you read, the more things you will know" (it's only half the quote, I know) and now you can take this STEM knowledge you've just received into consideration for how it may benefit your child(ren)!
